David FrittsResearch Professor, Electrical Engineering SciencesPh.D., University of Illinois (1977). Colorado Research Associates (CoRA) Research Interests: Atmospheric dynamics, wave excitation, propagation, and dissipation. Teaching Interests: Atmospheric physics and dynamics, numerical modeling, remote sensing and analysis. Dr. Fritts' research focuses on nonlinear modeling of wave and instability processes; spectral studies of wave effects; parameterization of wave forcing and mean flow interactions; analysis of radar lidar and in-situ data; and theoretical studies of wave processes. Selected Publications Fritts, D.C., and Z. Luo, 1993: Gravity wave forcing in the middle atmosphere due to reduced ozone heating during a solar eclipse. Journal of Geophysical Research, in press.
